2 Poems from Aegis

During my undergraduate years at UNH I majored in English and took a particular interest in poetry. In the writing workshops there, in that community of poets, I began to find my voice. What a thrill to bring something new each week, to read in front of my peers and discuss it with them. I started submitting poems to our undergraduate literary magazine, Aegis, and they even published a few.

These two are from the Spring 2013 edition, and they share themes of sleep and dream. The first poem is unchanged and as-published; I have made minor edits to the second though, a few nips-and-tucks from an older poet.
